Change African Child International [CACI]

Change African Child International (CACI) is an NGO based in Kampala, Uganda. Our mission is to economically and socially empower families and communities, especially focusing on children’s rights. Our programs include:

  • Supporting children with tuition feeds and school materials
  • Supporting families and individuals affected by AIDS/HIV
  • Adult literacy programs
  • Financial literacy programs
  • Vocational trainings
  • Hosting the international good deeds day in Uganda

The unemployment rate in Uganda is very high and at the same time there is a strong need for skilled workers. CACI equips young girls and women with skills and technical knowledge and helps them find mentors, internships and ultimately job placements. We also help the our youth to create new jobs by training them to be entrepreneurs and linking them to the capital needed to start new businesses, to help them work their way out of poverty.

Our vision: To create a society where children rights are respected and all children and their families are living dignified lives.

Our mission statement: to economically and socially empower families and communities to holistically address child rights.

Our Goal: to identify, plan and manage community based development projects aimed at promoting the quality of life and socioeconomic welfare of the community.
